Way back in 2010 we had our first Business Contest, and it was a huge success. The Business Cup, Jiahua's most prestigious award, was won by Xiao Mei, who worked incredibly hard and did an excellent job to win.
In the 2010 contest, there were 8 students that competed against Xiao Mei to win 3 months of free study @ Jiahua. She is now living in Dalian and will be unable to compete this year, but she will play a part in this year's contest as well. Now it is time for someone else to become the Business Cup Champion.
Our student population has now more than tripled since the last contest and the business environment has changed. This years contest will be tougher, longer, and more challenging than the first one and more will be expected from our participating students. This year, we have 12 students competing. Each week, one or two will be eliminated.
Curious about the types of challenges we will have?
Check out some of the activities from last year here for a hint...
How does it work?
Each Sunday @ 1:00 Eric will give a 1 hour lesson on the business skill that will be tested that day. The students then will get 2 hours to preform a task and then there will be an evaluation on how everyone preformed. Each week, the student or students that preforms the weakest, will be thrown out of the contest.
The things we will test:
1 - Your business English
2 - Your business skills
3 - Your ability to learn new things quickly
Each week's activity is a secret until the day of, so be ready for anything!
