Open Study is a 4 hour block of time each week (see website for schedule) where students will have access to one of our teachers to ask them questions about anything they like language related. There is no lesson in our open study period. But we are here to help you with your homework, essay writing, pronunciation practice, grammar, or anything else you need help with. The teacher here will spend some one-on-one time with all the students who attend.

公开学习是每周4小时的学习时间。学生们有机会询问一名加华老师关于任何语言学习有关的问题。公开学习课上没有特定的课题，我们可以帮助学生的作业，写作，发音练习，语法以及其他需要帮助的学习问题。老师也会对参加学习的学生进行一对一的辅导。

Open Study Rules: 开放学习准则：
1. No more than 8 students at a time – we want to ensure all students have a chance to ask their questions 参加人数不超过8名学生，以确保所有机会向老师提问题。

2. Do not ask general questions like:
请不要询问类似以下的太广泛的问题：
“Call you tell me about life in America?”
你可以告诉我美国的生活是怎样的吗？
“What is some vocabulary about banking?”
关于银行方面的单词有哪些？
“Let’s talk about the 4 seasons”
我们可以讨论一下一年四季吗？

These are too broad and can go in many different directions. Ask specific questions related to English or your classes.
这些问题太笼统，可以回答的方向太多。 问一些和英语学习以及课题内容有关的问题。

Questions should be like this:
例如：
“Can you help me with my ‘Th’ pronunciation?
“Th”怎样发音？
“Last class we studied the Present Perfect but I don’t understand when to use it”

“Can you test me on this material I learned last class?”

3. No more than one hour at a time – ask your questions, listen to some others, and make room for other students to come in.
每次学习时间为一小时：提问题，听听别人的问题，然后让其他学生也参加学习。

4. The teacher will spend no longer than 15 minutes on any specific question – we want to be able to have as many questions as possible.
每位老师对每个问题只用15分钟时间回答。我们希望能解决尽可能多的问题。

5. All attendee’s must have questions to ask. No Question, no attending.
