Here is the Jiahua family (in their own words):

Eric Velouria

I have worked in the language learning industry for about 10 years. 3 of those years was in Beijing where I did corporate training for clients such as Yahoo, ICBC, UBS, LG, Samsung, and many other others. From 2006 – 2008 I was in Vancouver where I taught a business internship program for new immigrants. I have called Shenzhen home since January 2009. My interests include traveling, history, economics, soccer, hockey, and good conversation.

Faye Chen
Principal & Director of Mandarin Studies

“The most beautiful women are those with dreams” This has been my motto in life. Pursuing a career in the education has always been my dream, and now I'm realizing it. I take this job as an enrichment in career and an enjoyment in life where every class is like a wonderful journey that not only teaches my foreign friends how to use the Chinese language and know more about our culture, but also I've learned so much about their countries and the beauty of their languages in return. I'm so happy to be able to bring my happiness to my Chinese classes everyday and to deliver that happiness to my students. Music and movies can always easily touch me. I love to read and I also love to write about different aspects of life. Jiahua has a culture that is distinct and unique, we have and exciting and friendly working atmosphere. If you want to be part of it, please join us at Jiahua!

Robert Winters
Director of Sales & Marketing

The surest way not to fail is... DETERMINE to succeed!!!
This can be said about anything in your life including business or learning a new language. I am very happy to be at Jiahua and bring my over 20 years of sales and business experience to an already strong team. Family and friends are very important to me, and I enjoy all sports and sporting events. Eating and trying different Chinese foods are definitely one my favorite things to do in Shenzhen.
Working together to build and keep a strong team is very important for our students to have fun and enjoy learning at Jiahua.

Eric Cheng
Financial Director

Part of what I am about is seeing how I can paint the same thing differently instead of different things the same way - I don’t remember who said this, but it pretty much describes who I am. I am also easy-going, friendly, a strong communicator, good listener, and handsome. Prior to joining Jiahua , I worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for more than 5 years. I love travelling. Like Hans Christian Andersen said “To travel is to connect , to travel is to live.” I can’t agree with him more, so I did my best to maximize my free time for travelling around the world.

Donna Zhou
Office Co-ordinator

I am a girl with strong desires, and a very typical perfectionist. After careful consideration, I have decided to pursue a career in education with Jiahua. Just do it - I do what I want and what I expect, not what my friends or family would rather I do. I deeply believe that my dreams will come true one day when the opportunity comes. So now I am happy to be with Jiahua. I really like this job which offers me a lot of fun and makes me feel successful. Our team members are nice, the management is excellent, and I am provided with lots of opportunities to learn and grow.
